| UPDATE (5.27.2010):Thank You to the Body of Christ
Thank you to the body of Christ who supported El Shaddai Christian Church at the benefit event, “Love Your Neighbor,” organized by Brandon Heath, Jason Ingram and Jim Houser and hosted by Fellowship Bible Church. We appreciate the gifts of time and talents offered by each member of the event team along with Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North, Britt Nicole, Toby Mac and surprise guest, Amy Grant. Members of El Shaddai are so blessed by the generous donations totaling $61,857! We are also grateful to Pastor Rick White and the congregation at The People’s Church of Franklin for your care and concern for our church community. We are awed by your incredible financial support. Thank you to all the donations we have received from other churches and individuals in addition to your continued support and prayer. Reconstruction or Relocation Whatever route God directs us to take, whether we are allowed to restore the existing building or if we are required to relocate to a new facility, it will be a huge undertaking for our congregation. We trust the Lord to continue fulfilling his purpose through El Shaddai. We believe He will complete what He has started and will provide all that is necessary for the challenges that lie ahead. We know He will grant us strength and endurance in the process. El Shaddai awaits word on two possible options for our church building. Costs for the first option, restoring the existing facility, are being estimated. The second option, moving our community to a new location, may be necessitated by new governmental regulations for flood-damaged regions. In this case, we will enter into a rebuilding campaign to purchase new property and construct a new facility. Our metropolitan government released new regulations on Wednesday, May 19, regarding flood-damaged buildings and rebuilding in flooded areas. These regulations require us to obtain a building permit. Because our church is located in the 100-year flood plain, and has sustained significant structural and interior damage due to recent flooding, we are uncertain as to whether we will receive the permit. Although buildings in the 100-year flood plain may, “get a building permit to make repairs in some cases,” the permit is considered “pending” until a field assessment of the property is completed. The “pending” permits are generally issued within a few days of application. Metro Water Services (MWS) can sign off on your building permit if: the building meets the current storm water regulations or the damage to the building is less than 50% of the building’s value’. (www.nashville.gov/mpc/pdfs/main/FloodplainPermits.pdf). Will will continue to update our body of support as new information is available. Thank you, again, for your care for El Shaddai Christian Church during this challenging season for our church. We have faith that God will grow the ministry of His church through this experience and look to Him for a new season of outreach and harvest. |

What an amazing evening last night for the body of Christ @ the “Love Your Neighbor 3″ benefit concert at Fellowship Bible Church! Words cannot express our gratitude to all who blessed our congregation so generously – especially Jason Ingram and Brandon Heath, along with special guests Mike Donehey, Britt Nicole, TobyMac, and Amy Grant! Of course a huge thank you to Fellowship Bible Church and all who organized the evening! We simply cannot comprehend the vastness of God’s grace and love, but we caught a glimpse last night in the midst of our loving brothers and sisters. God has already brought forth beautiful blooms after the rain! May He richly bless each one of your lives!
We have a place to have our Sunday Service! Concord Community Church of the Nazarene . 9826 Concord Rd. Brentwood 37027. Right behind us, on the other side of Mill Creek over the hill. At 12:30m.
A man from Illinois, heard what was going on in Nashville TN and decided he would take his bob cat and see where he could help , as he arrived someone told him about our church. We had a huge job to do today, hauling all the debris to the dumpsters (2). But this God send man did the job in one hour. Thank you Jesus for Tim!
Another man drove by asking how he could help, he offered his truck for us to use until Friday. He handed pastor the keys and left.
We had our first church service, out in the parking lot. It was encouraging to be reminded the the church of the Lord Jesus Christ was is not a building but the people.

Concord Community Church of the Nazarene. 9826 Concord Rd. Brentwood 37027. Detrás de nosotros en el otro lado de la quebrada pasando la loma de atrás.
